For nine years, Judy Steele has worked in Military and Veteran Services at CCA and has helped thousands of current-serving military and veterans with finding resources, enrolling in CCA, and using military tuition assistance and VA education benefits.

Many veterans go through the military transition assistance program as they leave the military but may not recall what they were told, Steele said.

CCA also works with community resources to let military and veteran students know about opportunities in the community.

For example, CCA works with the University of Colorado Heroes Clinicwhich provides free dental services to student veterans who qualify. Anyone is welcome at this event which will feature food, information and resources, films, and more. Steele is always looking for more resources for military and veteran students both internally and externally — she is currently working with students to start a military and veterans student organization.
